The Carabinieri of the Vescovato station have reported a 34-year-old man with a criminal record for theft with dexterity, held responsible for having stolen a bag from a supermarket in Gadesco on 22 April.
The victim was a woman who was robbed of her handbag which she had left unattended on the trolley while she was shopping. Inside she had a cell phone, glasses and a wallet containing payment cards, identity and driving documents, cash and more.
Thanks to the viewing of the images of the video surveillance systems present in the area, the Carabinieri were able to reconstruct what happened: in fact, a man, already known for his criminal record, can be seen wandering around the department where the theft took place. He was then filmed by the cameras of the shopping mall as he walked away holding a woman’s bag, which he then hid under a jacket. Bag that he didn’t have when he entered.
Through the images, the military immediately recognized the 34-year-old, because he had already committed similar thefts. Following the investigations carried out, the man was reported to the judicial authorities.
