The targeted checks carried out throughout the weekend by the Carabinieri of the Civitavecchia Company made it possible, through the use of various patrols located throughout the territory, to carry out a coordinated wide-ranging service aimed at the prevention and repression of crimes. The control activities reached their peak on Saturday evening, in which the soldiers of the Radiomobile Section of the Civitavecchia and Stations Company checked around a hundred people and around forty vehicles, identifying potentially suspicious subjects and carrying out various searches and on-site inspections.
In particular, the efforts made in the fight against drug dealing have made it possible to arrest one individual, as well as to release 2 others, including a minor, and finding a total of around 170 grams of hashish, and to identify and report to the Prefecture. – UTG of Rome about ten hirers.
In addition to the control of road traffic, carried out on the main communication arteries of the coastal municipality and which led to the withdrawal of 2 driving licenses and the reporting to the local Public Prosecutor’s Office of a motorist caught driving his car with almost triple the permitted blood alcohol level, the verification activities, carried out together with the Carabinieri of the NAS of Rome, were concentrated on various commercial establishments located on the Lungomare Thaon di Revel. The owner of one of these premises was reported for the sale of alcoholic substances to a minor, while the manager of a second premises was accused of various hygienic-health deficiencies and high financial penalties for a total of over three thousand euros.
Similar checks will also continue over the next few weekends, on the directive of the Provincial Carabinieri Command of Rome and in line with the action strongly supported by the Prefect of Rome within the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security.
