Tomorrow, 15 May 2024, at the Casina delle Palme in Trapani, starting at 8.30 pm, the final event of the project «On the trail of Liberty: the myth of the Belle Epoque in Trapani», sponsored by the Municipality of Trapani and coordinated by Prof. Maria Luisa Curatolo. The evening concludes a series of activities consisting of classroom activities, meetings, conferences, seminars (funding following the Sicily Region councilor’s circular n.23 of 11/15/2023).
The evening, open to the school community and students’ families, will be an opportunity to revive the Casina delle Palme, a symbolic place of Liberty in Trapani, recreating the cheerful and bubbly atmosphere of the historic variety theatre. In the performance “The Walk”, the students will bring to the stage texts by famous authors of the twentieth century: Tito Marrone, Govoni, Palazzeschi, Marinetti, Pirandello. Inside the turret, in the meantime, an exhibition will be set up with projections of the photos and drawings made by the students of the drawing, relief and photography workshops.
During the show, the students of the musical laboratory will also perform: Talent School Music, curated by Prof. Rosaria Bonfiglio, with the participation of the students who are following the project “Sounds and colors of our beloved Earth: Sicily” (funded following of the “Training and Education” councilor’s circular of the Sicily Region – n. 05 / 2024: “Sicilian is not just the language of a people”).
The initiative, also carried out thanks to the collaboration of the Municipality of Trapani and the Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese, concludes a broad and engaging training course and testifies to the commitment and attention of the “Rosina Salvo” institute in educating young people to with respect to the valorization of the historical-artistic heritage of the territory.
