‘I expect a balanced challenge’

(By Anthony Carrano) Fascinating double commitment for Taranto and Vicenza, who will clash in home and away matches in the next playoff round. Interviewed exclusively by Blunote, Nicolas Bremec talks about his experience as a player with both teams.

WALK TO TARANTO AND VICENZA: “The two teams played a good championship. Vicenza ended their journey with 71 points, Taranto with 69 net of the penalty: two balanced teams who will be able to compete both in the first leg and in the second leg.”

DOUBLE MATCH EXPECTATIONS: “These are tense matches: Erasmo Iacovone is already full, but so will Menti when they return. They are playoff matches, therefore, different from the championship matches because there is much more tension. Whoever manages it best will advance. the pressure”.

ENVIRONMENTAL DIFFERENCES: “There are many similarities. Before going to Vicenza, I played in the South in Foggia and Taranto: the pressures are identical, the Vicenza fans are very warm like the Taranto ones.”

TARANTINA AND VICENTINA EXPERIENCE: “With Taranto, in the second year, it is difficult to forget the playoff semi-final with Atletico Roma, while in my last championship on the banks of the Ionian Sea, we actually won the championship without receiving any money (Taranto was penalized for financial defaults, ed.) Despite the vicissitudes, it was a beautiful year for me, there was an amazing group. In Vicenza, however, I remember the six months of my first adventure: we had to save ourselves and personally I had a good season. Afterwards, I returned to the red and white after a year and we came close to Serie A, losing to Massimo Oddo’s Pescara, we had an excellent return round and the Vicenza fans were very close to the team.”

WHAT IT WILL NEED FOR TARANTO TO PASS THE TURN: “Definitely a victory and then at least trying to draw the other match. We will have to manage the 180 minutes, it is not a match like all the others, absolutely difficult for both teams because there are valid players in both Taranto and Vicenza”.

CAPUANO: “I think he had a wonderful season. Despite the penalty, Taranto managed to move forward, which is not an easy aspect because when they take away points obtained on the pitch you sometimes suffer from a morale point of view, but instead the boys gave their maximum until the end. The credit certainly goes to the coach who created a good group by first purchasing men and then players, just as he said, always managing to maintain a compact team regardless of the difficulties.”

DIVIDED FEELINGS: “My heart is in both Taranto and Vicenza, even though I played less in the red and white. I don’t want to go too far because there are people who love me in both cities, but since I live in Taranto at the moment I would like to see the rossoblù in Serie B. They are two places that deserve more than a C.”

FUTURE: “I was coaching the first teams, then I was called by Casarano with whom we won the Eccellenza and rose to Serie D. At that point, after stopping, I went to Altamura, an adventure that didn’t end well due to misadventures from the point of view of economic point of view. Now I have decided to settle in Taranto and train the goalkeepers of the football schools. In the summer we have planned an internship with Petrelli: the objective is to help the younger ones grow athletically and mentally”.
