The collaboration between the Cassa di Risparmio di Carrara Foundation and Cai di Carrara is consolidated for the promotion and valorisation of the hilly and mountain tourist destinations of our territory, from the sharp peaks of the Apuan Alps to the natural charm of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. In view of the summer, when the clearest views can be admired from the mountains on sunny days, it will be possible to take a journey through the area and its beauties through nine stages of excursions that choose our area as a destination for their holidays. A proposal born and organized by the CAI of Carrara with the patronage of the Cassa di Risparmio di Carrara Foundation, after the success of the project that led to the birth of Il Cammino di Aronte. An initiative that will help people discover our territory and promote it beyond ‘provincial’ borders, meeting those who choose slow tourism, an activity that is developing and growing more and more, with strong interest also from travel agencies. travel. Nine events, all scheduled for Sunday, which begin on July 7 with the highly anticipated Mangialonga from Carrara to Campocecina, an event that has attracted hundreds of people, enthusiasts and curious, for many years. Sunday 14th excursion from Stazzema to Monte Nona passing through the Forte dei Marmi refuge, Sunday 21st don’t miss the exit from Passo Pradarena to Lame del Rio. The last appointment of the month of June has a particular charm also in the names of the ‘places’ of the passage: starting from San Pallegrino in Alpe to arrive at Il Diavolo and the waterfalls. We start again on the first Sunday of August, the 4th, with an excursion in search of fresh air in the hottest months: from Lagdei to Marmagna. Sunday 11th a nice tour in the upper Serchio Valley, starting from Vagli di Sopra, stopping in the suggestive setting of Campocatino and continuing up to the hermitage. Sunday 18th we return to the Apennines, still in search of the coolness of our mountains with the excursion from Lagastrello to Monte Acuto. Sunday 25th another unmissable stop at Monte Sagro. After a break, the initiative ends with the excursion scheduled for Sunday 8 September, in the days of the con-vivere festival, in the upstream villages around Carrara, on the trail of the Cammino di Aronte, from Piazza Alberica, up S. Rocco , Gragnana, Noceto, Castelpoggio and back. To register, contact the CAI headquarters in Carrara by the Thursday before the activity. Compulsory insurance for non-CAI members.
