The feature film “I stay here” is a narrative documentary of Sicily in the 1980s that evokes the nostalgia of youth and recounts the close bond of Sicilians with their place of origin with the intention of showing a fascinating and authentic Sicily.

It is not just a dive into the past or a nostalgic journey through the Sicily of the 1980s, the one in which the kids wanted to be together at the oratory first and on the free radio stations afterwards.

“I stay here”, by Yes in Sicily, directed by Giuseppe Palmeri and written with Vincenzo Amico and Vitale Vancheri, wants to tell the new generations about the simplicity of the relationships of that era.

Yes in Sicily is the project born from a group of Sicilians to tell an unpublished Sicily and its stories, transforming them, through a visual and emotional journey, into visual poems.

The docufilm has the original soundtrack by Gaetano Bellomo.

The project also saw prestigious collaborations such as the friendly participation of Enrico Ruggeri with one of his songs from 1984 which meets the emotions and soul of the entire history of the docufilm and the mentoring of Patrizia Genovesi from the Free University of Cinema of Rome.
