PanathlonGioriamo for 28 years is the trademark of the activity that the Panathlon Club Cesena carries out for the growth and introduction of boys and girls to sport in the name of fun and play. This was also the case last Saturday for the final performance in the packed (numerous families) Sports Center of Martorano where a thousand boys and girls from the nursery and primary schools of Cesena and the surrounding area, wearing colored T-shirts and hats, were involved in the courses an afternoon of celebration and play. It represented the final act of a tested process which for three months saw a staff of professionals from Panathlon Cesena working in the schools of the area, specialized in teaching physical activity and which involved around two thousand pupils. Dionigio Dionigi, president of Panathlon Cesena, reiterates the importance of PanathlonGioriamo has always been among the flagships of the association’s events: “Seeing shows like the one on Saturday in Martorano with a thousand girls and boys involved, also rewarded with a medal each one, and the passionate and satisfied families make it clear what the spirit of our Panathlon is. We will continue on this path, in fact the idea was our late partner Franco Urbini, 28 years ago, an authentic man of sport”.
PanathlonGioriamo Memorial Franco Urbini and Fulvio Zuccheri (the former professional footballer who was an unforgettable instructor of the event) here is the complete description of an initiative in which both the deputy mayor Cristian Castorri and the Urbini and Zuccheri families were present on Saturday. The president of the Romagna Cancer Research Association (Arrt) Nevio Zaccarelli and the president of the Credito Cooperativo Romagnolo Roberto Romagnoli were also present at the awards ceremony. Such an important and demanding project in every respect was supported thanks also to the Municipality of Cesena, Romagna Initiatives and the Cbr of Rimini (Cooperativa Braccianti Riminesi). Now we are already working for next year.
