Finally three days of full sun allowed a great return of the Music in the Farmyardswhich for various reasons in the last five years had not taken place at all or with some limitations that had compromised its full success.
It started on Friday afternoon with an event that will remain in the history of music in Faenza, namely the concert of Vinicio Capossela with Don Antonio In the Colony meadowwanted and organized by Ravenna Festival which thus inaugurated the exhibition Romagna in Bloom precisely on the occasion of the first day of Music in the Farmyards.
The event then continued with a Saturday spread across three farmyards, in which various activities took place: from the historic Classicissima to nature walks, from ethnic dance workshops to folk music concerts, concluding with the “Extrafolk” experiment which also involved the youngest.
Finally on Sunday which saw several thousand people walking along the 5 kilometers of the circular route, to listen to the 21 participants in the musical competition La Musica nelle Aie – Castel Raniero Folk Festival 2024.
The music competition was awarded the Mei Award to Leandro Pallozzi and the Old Dragonsthe Mention “you know how to do it” that the jury wanted to establish to reward the Marche and intergenerational duo Acephalous Duo.
For the City of Faenza Awarddedicated to the most original proposal, saw the receipt of a ceramic from the prestigious Bottega Gatti, the Bolognese Clepto Singer-songwriterWhile the public wanted to reward those who were engaging Baldo degli Ubaldi coming from Lucca.
Finally the Music Award in the Aie 2024assigned by the jury, this year composed of the singer Serena Bandoli, Andrea Artosi of Voci per la Libertà, the folk musician Roberto Bucci, Marco Bartolini of the School of Popular Music of Forlimpopoli, Mario Baldini of the Arena delle Balle di Paglia , by Andrea Martini of Imola in Music, it was won by the trio from Rimini Bearsauthors of original musical compositions.
