Youth rugby festival at the Albricci stadium in Naples for the X Partenope Trophy, the student rugby tournament of the schools of Naples and the province with over 200 athletes and 12 participating schools.

The traditional event organized by Partenope Sports Association in the historic sports facility of the Arenaccia Army it was won by the class of the IC Omero Mazzini of Pomigliano d’Arco (fifth grade – Baby), by the IC Mazzocchi of Santa Maria Capua Vetere (sixth grade – Cadets), by the IC Principe di Piedmont of Santa Maria Capua Vetere (Second middle school – junior). In this record edition for the numbers on the field, the memory of little Goliath Romeo, an under 10 athlete of Partenope Rugby who tragically passed away in a car accident in August 2022.

Awards ceremony by the hosts of the Army with the General of Division Claudio Minghetti, deputy commander of Comfop Sud, and Colonel Giuseppe Maltese, commander of the Albricci stadium barracks, as well as Marshal Gaetano Monaco, operational contact for the stadium. The sports councilor of the municipality of Naples, Emanuela Ferrante, also took part in the event, who together with the president of the Campania regional committee of Italian Rugby Federation Peppe Calicchio and the president of the historic Partenope Multi-Sports Association Alessandro Gelormini, have embraced the contagious enthusiasm of hundreds of girls and teenagers who, through the game of rugby and its educational principles, have gained an experience that goes beyond mere practice sporty.

The extraordinary testimonial on the pitch was the athlete of the women’s national team Giulia Cavina, fresh from the campaign of the prestigious 6 Nations tournament in which Italy stood out for its historic victory on Irish soil. Dedication and attention in giving advice to all the kids involved in the warm-up and game phases, demonstrating to everyone that rugby is a game for everyone, without limits of gender and physical size. As part of the Sport and Legality project, the State Police supported the project. Also present was Nicoletta Musso from the Family Home «The Chrysalis».
