The longest cycling event in Puglia for 2024 took place yesterday, one Randonnée of 300 km with a route that started from Bitonto and included the two tough climbs to reach San Giovanni Rotondo and Monte Sant’Angelo; what made the race even tougher was the departure at midnight which forced the cyclists to pedal all night with temperatures reaching 6 degrees.
They couldn’t miss the Vultour Bike cyclists now experts in long distance races.
5 athletes participatedled by the national expert Alessandro di Cesare.
The demonstration valid as a stage of the Italian Master Audax Championship and included in the Rando Tour Magna Grecia circuit saw the participation of cyclists from different regions of Italy, all experts in the discipline.
Goal achieved by guys from Vultour Bike who finished the test under twelve hours, winning the 300km license and 1500 points which allowed him to conquer the second position in the event behind the battleship of Randagi Campani.
Great satisfaction in Team that is currently in third place in the circuit ranking and for the first time ever a Lucanian team is so high in this discipline.
