A dangerous serial robber has been brought to justice after committing numerous robberies against businesses in Vittoria.
The staff of the State Police of the PS Commissariat of Vittoria executed the precautionary custody order in prison, issued by the Judge of Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Ragusa against a 44-year-old criminal, held responsible for the crime of attempted robbery aggravated, committed in a brutal manner, at a local fuel station, at the end of last March.
More specifically, to commit the crime, the man with his face distorted by a helmet and a scarf, pointing a knife at the distributor manager, threatened the latter to enter the office where he held the collections.
The robbery did not end well for the serial robber following the “unexpected” reaction of the offended person who reacted by punching him. During the struggle, the robber, using the knife, caused the victim a serious stab wound to the middle finger and thumb of his right hand.
Once the formalities had been completed, the arrested person was taken to the Ragusa prison at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
