Martina Armini is Bergamo’s libero

Martina Arminiborn in 2002, vice-champion of Italy, is the new libero of Bergamo.

Awarded best player of the last Regular Season match in Treviglio, she experienced firsthand the moment in which Bergamo secured salvation: “I was excited too, it was an instant of pure passion, a beautiful emotion: we saw how the public, the club, the staff and the girls believed in this journey. It was really very nice.”

Martina, after Scandicci, Perugia and Chieri, chose Bergamo. Why?

“A club with an important past and a place that has seen very strong players pass through, so I’m happy to embark on this journey here. I talked about it with Isabella Di Iulio, she told me she felt great with this shirt. It’s a positive environment that’s good for the athlete”.

“My characteristics? I am very charismatic, I make myself heard, I am always available to my teammates and I always try to give my best for the shirt, not just for myself.

I’m not the type who only thinks about his own. In the sense that I do my job well, but I try first to help others. Because I think that to move forward and win, the important thing is team cohesion. The libero is a role that cannot make a difference in attack, but must help the others to create the best possible game situation.”

“The main qualities of a good libero? He must be charismatic, he must have character, he must help others and bring peace of mind.”

Armini will be one of the points of reference of the team that is taking shape under the guidance of coach Parisi.
