Larger and more modern, the project for the Udine rugby field

New jobs for Udine’s rugby boss.

During last Tuesday’s meeting, the Udine municipal council shared the intention to carry out important works to expand and redevelop thesports facility dedicated to rugby in Viale 25 Aprile, east of the city, owned by the municipality (together with the field in via del Maglio, in Paderno) and a cornerstone of sport in one of the most populous neighborhoods of Udine.

In fact, the economic feasibility document has been approved which will officially start the design phase of the works, which will develop in the coming months, also thanks to regional contributions. The overall picture of the work, of which the Municipality will cover a share equal to 20%, amounting to 590 thousand euros. According to the approved timetable, i works will start by the beginning of December 2024.

The interventions.

The sports facility will undergo a series of interventions extraordinary maintenance and a substantial expansion of the spaces available for sporting activitiesfor the services provided to athletes of all ages and for the public who gathers every week for sporting events.

In the context of the rugby system it will be a new building has been built, which will become a 90 square meter gym and will substantially enrich the sports offering. Inside the same newly built building there will also be a space foroffice for the administrative activity of the sports club and a warehouse for the gym equipment.

A second chapter of interventions insteadarea used for the so-called “third time”. In fact, it is the Administration’s intention to include in the planning also the construction of a structure to be transformed into new Club House open to members, the public and parents who follow the matches.

Maintenance interventions will finally be concentrated onelimination of architectural barriers, which currently make access difficult for people with disabilities or mobility difficulties. Specific pedestrian paths will be created to connect the entrance gates, changing rooms, warehouses and services. From an environmental point of view all interventions will be carried out in the name of sustainability. The new buildings will in fact be aimed at increasing consumption efficiency and energy saving, and a photovoltaic system will also be installed for energy supply.
