PAIN

The news of his passing, yesterday morning at the first light of dawn, spread immediately throughout a Teramo that was astonished by such an implacable fate that tore away an ever-smiling child. And the city rallied around the Clementoni family in this moment of unimaginable pain. The silence and closeness to mum and dad characterized a difficult day for everyone. Unacceptable to die at 5 years old. Friends, relatives and acquaintances in tears joined in the despair of Riccardo’s parents. The father and mother are well known throughout the city.

The mother is also a midwife at the Mazzini hospital in Teramo, a highly esteemed and well-known professional who has assisted many women at birth and accompanied the birth of their children. Colleagues in the obstetrics and gynecology department, we read in a post, write: «They hold us with immense affection for the pain that has affected Arianna and her family due to the disappearance of little Riccardo». His father Stefano is a network systems administrator for a multinational company in Sant’Omero that produces components for music.

THE FUNERALS

The last farewell is tomorrow at 3pm in the Sacro Cuore church in Via Pannella. Thus, in a post on Facebook, the nursery school attended by Riccardo warns the little pupils: «On Monday 13 May the Piccola Casa will close at 2 pm to allow everyone to be close to the family of little Riccardo Clementoni».

«My community has been hit by a tragedy. We sympathize with the immense pain that little Riccardo’s parents are feeling”, says mayor Gianguido D’Alberto. Yesterday morning the little one was taken to the Petrucci Carlo funeral home, where many went to the funeral home.
