Leave a cleaner world for future generations, restore dignity to work and education no longer seen as a privilege but a right. After the presentation of the first points of the program by Anna Zonari, mayoral candidate of La Comune di Ferrara, her allies of + Ferrara in Europe set and specify these three topics.

Ecological transaction, decarbonisation, use of clean energy are the key elements of a green path which in “Ferrara, a medium-sized city, there are the conditions to be able to achieve by leveraging the tradition of bicycle use and creating a true pedestrian area”. They therefore propose to “carry out a feasibility study that allows us to use and equip the large car park spaces adjacent to the city with photovoltaic systems, aimed at having a part of self-production of energy and also of energy saving, reducing costs for the community ”.

The average salary of young Italians is much lower than that of their European peers. What +Ferrara in Europe would like is to recover, at municipal level, “the issue of the minimum wage which was wrecked at parliamentary level”. Examples could be those of “Livorno and Florence where in a relationship with the social partners the municipal administrations establish that employees of contracting companies (including those who work for the Municipalities) are expected to have an hourly wage of no less than €9/hour”.

Finally, they propose “strengthening the system of scholarships supported directly by the Municipality”. A tool which, according to +Ferrara in Europa, “would allow us to gradually reduce the cost of books for children in middle and high schools in public schools who are compulsory”.

They do not forget the importance of the city at university level with the significant increase in students “but a lot needs to be done to make it a true university city.” To do this “you need to invest directly on the cultural and structural side”. They therefore propose, “to support university students, to encourage the reuse and conversion of disused spaces owned by the Municipality into cultural and library meeting environments and to convert part of these buildings into student residences capable of calming the private rental market”.

For 18 years Este.com offers independent information to its readers and has never accepted public funds so as not to weigh even a cent on the shoulders of the community. The work we do has a significant economic cost and private advertising is not always sufficient.
For this reason we ask those who read us every day and, we hope, appreciate us to give us a small contribution based on their possibilities. Even a small amount of support, multiplied by the tens of thousands of Ferrarese who read us every day, can become fundamental.
