The elderly couple is hospitalized in serious condition. The neighbors called the police, alarmed by the woman’s screams
Latina, 11 May 2024 – He stabbed his wife with at least six blows and then attempted suicide. It happened in a small villa on Migliara 40, on the border between the municipalities of Sermoneta and Latina, in the Pontine province.
The woman’s screams, which preceded the wounding, attracted the attention of the neighbors who called the police. The couple, he is 88 years old and she is 75 years oldhe was arguing animatedly before her husband pulled out the knife with which he tried to kill her.
The Carabinieri intervened on site to investigate and two 118 air ambulances transported the couple to hospital in Rome where they are hospitalized in serious conditions. The 88-year-old man is dying in intensive care.
The Latina Public Prosecutor’s Office, meanwhile, is coordinating the investigations.
