MODENA. Even in many municipalities in the province of Modena she saw herself. And she took everyone by surprise. It’s not an everyday thing, after all, to see the sky light up with those colors that we usually admire when traveling to Northern Europe.
Instead, right in Modena, shortly after 11pm today, Friday 10 May, thenorthern Lights it also appeared in our sky.

But what was it about?
SAR – ARC AURORA RED STABLE
This is a fascinating phenomenon known as Saror “stable red auroral arc”. In simple words, it is a play of light, a sort of optical effect or, if we want to be more technical, an incredible atmospheric phenomenon. There Earth it is surrounded by a ring current system, which is located at a distance of between 10,000 and 60,000 kilometers from it and carries millions of amperes.
These currents are constantly carried by high-energy protons. During the geomagnetic storms, the increase in ring current is due to the entry of new low-energy protons into the near-Earth region. When this happens, there is then a release of thermal energy into the Earth’s upper atmosphere which we “see” in the form of the Sar arcs of the auroras. The moon is also spectacular: a magical evening.
THE US NOOA ANNOUNCEMENT
