Via Filzi construction site: emptying of rainwater has begun

A few hours after the expiry of the second extension granted by the municipality of Arezzo, the emptying work began on the construction site in via Fabio Filzi in Arezzo, where the new headquarters of the Municipal Police should be built.
The mayor’s ordinance required the property to restore the safety conditions of the construction site which had filled with rainwater and groundwater. The ASL also intervened in the case and the citizens’ committee presented two complaints. The extension was granted to allow specific analyzes before being able to discharge the liquids into the public sewer, as in fact the company in charge is doing today.
Today’s news is undoubtedly good, at least in terms of protecting adjacent homes, but the concern remains.
All waste in front of the property should be removed and residents are calling for the restoration of at least the car parks.
“There are still people who use it as a dormitory, to deal or consume drugs – the citizens report – these conditions have even worsened compared to when the kindergarten was abandoned, but it was not yet a construction site.”
In short, peace for this area of the city is still a long way off.
