Healthcare, the Lazio Region announces hiring and stabilization by 2025, with the recruitment of almost 9,700 professionals. The news was welcomed by the councilor for social services and health of the Municipality of Aprilia, Veronica Napolitano which underlines how it is “necessary to strengthen and improve the city’s health services”. The councilor gives as an example the reduction in the monthly hours provided at the Casa della Salute, in the clinics and for specialist visits and underlines the importance of strengthening human resources, with the hiring of new nursing resources.
“The engine of healthcare is in the arms, hearts and professionalism of the operators who work every day to guarantee all of us that the right to health is not just a slogan, but a concrete fact. For this reason – comments Councilor Napolitano – I enthusiastically welcome the words of the President of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca, who announced the launch of a plan that between 2024 and 2025 will lead to new permanent hires and stabilisations.
The recruitment of 9,699 healthcare professionals represents an important but necessary investment, a breath of fresh air for a sector where staff shortages have long been linked to critical issues in terms of service provided to citizens, often contributing to increasing waiting times for healthcare services.
A situation which, unfortunately – underlines Veronica Napolitano – also closely concerns our city: as reported in the 2023 report produced by the Court for the Rights of the Patient with respect to the situation faced by clinics and specialist visits at the Casa della Salute in Aprilia, Over the last three years, there has been a progressive reduction in the monthly hours provided by specialists in the various sectors, but even more importantly, the structure has been adapted through the hiring of new nursing resources.
We believe it is important to invest in strengthening the structures, but for public healthcare to function it is necessary to strengthen human resources, so that the Casa della Salute of Aprilia can unfold its potential.
Mayor Lanfranco Principi personally is constantly in contact with the Lazio Region and with President Rocca: dialogue and collaboration – concludes Councilor Napolitano – which have the aim of finding ways to act and bring to our city of over 80 thousand inhabitants those services that are currently lacking and strengthen those that can be improved.
The measures announced by President Rocca comfort us and confirm that we are proceeding in the right direction. Because the quality of life of each of us depends on the good functioning of our healthcare system and it is the most precious asset we have.”
