VERONA – The envelope for the second bid to win the trademark Chievo Verona has been opened and the auction has closed: it returns to the hands of Sergio Pellissier. The former captain and flag of Chievo, current president of Clivense, has filed aoffer of 100 thousand euros that the bankruptcy trustee has deemed congruous. The other offer, which had been presented in the morning by a man linked to the former president of the Clivense club, was therefore defeated Luca Campedellinow manager of Vigasio, fresh from promotion to D Series.
The brand went bankrupt two years ago and after 2021 Chievo has no longer joined any championship, whether amateur or professional, but has been able to continue the activity thanks to the provisional exercise and managed to maintain the sporting title. From that moment, until today, Chievo has only played at youth level and with the women’s team, which is currently in Serie B.
In August 2021, however, the former captain decided to found a new company, the FC Clivense. The club started from the Third Category and is currently in Serie D. Now, however, Pellissier will finally be able to revive the Chievo title in his Clivense, as announced on the club’s official website and social channels. In essence, therefore, the club will change its name: FC Clivense will in all respects become the new Chievo Verona, starting from Serie D with the aim of gaining promotion among professionals and in the football that counts.
