PERUGIA – Madness in a city condominium, with a 66-year-old man shooting his neighbor’s puppy. The officers arrive on site after a call requesting assistance for shots fired. Once on site, the officers located a compressed air rifle.

Specifically, in fact, the applicant reported to the agents that the previous morning a neighbor – subsequently identified as an Italian citizen, born in 1958 – while he was practicing shooting with the weapon, in the condominium square of the building, shot with the air rifle to his dog, causing injuries.

The officers then made contact with the 66-year-old who handed over the rifle to the police, which was later seized together with the ammunition. From further investigation, it emerged that the dog had actually been shot with a compressed air rifle bullet of the same caliber as the man’s weapon. For this reason, at the end of the ritual activities, the man was referred to the Judicial Authority for the crimes of injury and acts of cruelty to animals, causing an alarm and a ban on shooting in an inhabited place.
