“It is sad to read news about the achievement, to date, of 28% of the objectives of the sixth installment of the Pnrr, expected at the end of June. It is clear that this data does not correspond, in any way, to the real progress in achieving the objectives of the sixth instalment”. This is what the Minister for European Affairs, the South, Cohesion Policies and the Pnrr Raffaele Fitto states, commenting on the data released in an analysis conducted for Il Sole 24 Ore by the Observatory on the Recovery plan of the Promo Pa Foundation and the University of Tor Vergata. “This is a percentage without technical basis,” he added.
The Observatory’s analysis reveals that so far only 28% of the 39 objectives of the Pnrr to be achieved by the month of June, linked to the sixth installment of the European Union of 9.2 billion euros, have been achieved. The targets achieved, writes Il Sole, mainly concern reforms, but otherwise “the march towards the 39 objectives continues slowly”. For the 72% of the remaining measures, mostly investments – it is explained – an acceleration is to be expected as the deadline approaches.
