Fugitive for more than 15 years, arrested at Treviso Canova airport. He was trying to return to Italy from Spain

TREVISO – Fugitive arrested at Canova airport, had been on the run for more than 15 years. This last weekend, the Border Police identified, arriving from Spain on a low-cost flight, a over 60 years old wanted by for more than 15 years as responsible for the crimes of robbery, injuries, receiving stolen goods, violation of the rules for the carrying and possession of weapons, recipient of an executive imprisonment order issued by the Judicial Authority to serve a prison sentence equal to 2 years and 8 months imprisonment. The fugitive hoped to return to the national territory after numerous years of hiding abroad, without being controlled by the Police Force, taking advantage of the fact that there is free movement at the border between Spain and Italy as per the Schengen Treaty. The man was taken to Treviso prison.
