The discovery was made by the staff on duty in the retirement home who immediately alerted the forces and the 118 who sent the helicopter rescue into the air. But it was all in vain. The 118 operators could not help but confirm the death of the 68-year-old.
From the first investigations carried out by the Carabinieri of the L’Aquila company, who intervened on site to reconstruct the dynamics of the tragic episode, it emerged that the man’s death can be traced back to a voluntary act. The 68-year-old, who had been a guest of the facility for some time, had decided to call it quits.
For the investigators there are no doubts about the causes of death, so much so that both from the findings and from the testimonies given by the facility staff and other guests, no elements have emerged that would make further investigations necessary. However, the Prosecutor’s Office ordered investigations on the body. Investigations from which no surprises emerged.
