The Short Films Under the Stars series is back, organized by the CLASS Center for Foreign Languages of the University for Foreigners of Siena.
The third edition of Corti sotto le stelle will take place on Thursday 16 May 2024, at 9pm, in the auditorium in via Pispini 1, an event which, through the screening of short films in the original language (with subtitles in Italian and English) , presents itself as a place of dialogue and comparison between different languages, histories and cultures.
On Thursday evening short films will be screened in Catalan, Korean, Swahili, German and Turkish. Each short will be introduced by a teacher of the language concerned and, at the end of the screenings, there will be a short debate on the main themes led by the cinema history teacher, Professor Stefania Carpiceci.
The evening will be presented by Professor Silvia Antosa, director of the CLASS Centre, with greetings from Professor Giuseppe Marrani, director of the Department of Humanistic Studies of the University for Foreigners of Siena.
