Support for the creation of businesses and self-employment activities by unemployed individuals residing in Basilicata: this is the purpose of the public notice to access the “microfinance fund” which was presented this morning in Potenza by the administrator by Sviluppo Basilicata, Gabriella Megale, and by the management authority of the ESF Basilicata operational programmes, Alfonso Morvillo. The financial allocation provided by the managing entity and the Basilicata Region is 9.8 million euros and applications can be submitted from 20 May 2024 until 30 June 2029.
“Unemployed individuals who are adults and resident in Basilicata can access the fund – explained Megale – both individually, as self-employed workers or freelancers, and in associated form and the business activity must reside in Basilicata”. In detail, the loans are repayable in six or seven years depending on the amount financed and no real guarantees are required. In the announcement – it was explained – two million are foreseen for activities started by women and 2.5 million for young people under 35. “We are building a future for work ideas – concluded Megale – through a loan that passes from the old measure of 25 thousand euros to 36 thousand with the aim of trying to provide solutions to the depopulation of the region and the departures of young people”.
