A particular protest took place this morning, starting at 8:00 am Cagliari: a flashmob of parents and children to ask more attention And safety in the streets.
The Flashmob occurred in Piazza Giovanni XXIII and is taken with continuous pedestrian crossings of pupils from the elementary and middle schools of S.Alenixedda and Cima. The initiative was organized by parents and volunteers from the Women on Bikes and Micromobility association.
“Right in Piazza Giovanni XXIII where two schools are located (as well as a parish with an adjoining oratory), a precious opportunity was recently missed with the road resurfacing works carried out in December. Instead of making improvementsfor example clearly visible pedestrian crossings and perhaps a connecting path to the Via Dante cycle path, everything was simply redone as before. Including parking lots close to pedestrian crossings, which hide those about to cross from view.”
Among the requests is that of proceeding immediately with the making all pedestrian crossings safe close to schools of all levels. And then start consultation tables for the safety of home-school routes.
