During the electoral round it is possible to take advantage of the Trenitalia discount dedicated to those who reach the voting locations by train.
The discount on train tickets it is valid for return trips in second class or Standard level and includes a reduction of 70% compared to the basic price of the ticket for Frecciarossa, Frecciargento, Frecciabianca, Intercity, Intercity Notte and sleeper service.
For regional trains, however, the reduction is 60%.
Tickets can be purchased at Trenitalia ticket offices and authorized travel agencies for trips to be made within 20 days close to the electoral period.
The outward journey can therefore be made from 30 Maywhile the return no later than June 19th.
If you do not have an electoral card for the outward journey, you must sign a substitute declaration to be presented on board together with the tickets.
For the return journey, in addition to the travel documents, the voter must also show Trenitalia staff the duly stamped electoral card or, failing that, a specific declaration issued by the president of the polling station certifying that the vote has taken place.
The voters returning from abroad can take advantage of the rate Italian Elector for international travel to and from Italy.
