Full room at the Spazio Varco in Cuneo yesterday 9 May in the late afternoon on the occasion of the presentation of the 2023 Report just published by the SAI, active in the province for some years.
After the opening of the proceedings by the project coordinator and the official of the municipal administration of Cuneo, leader of the territorial network, legal, integration, work, reception and health protection operators spoke. , who illustrated to the public – with data and reflections – what the project (which currently includes 23 municipalities in the Cuneo area) did last year in the context of welcoming foreign people present in the Granda communities.
Activities and initiatives aimed at building, together with holders of international protection included in the SAI or who have already left it, paths capable of mending life trajectories after often unimaginable traumas and suffering.
The interventions were interspersed with some readings by the actress Elisa Dani, who with delicacy and sensitivity gave voice to some of the stories collected by those who have worked in SAI for some time. Because beyond the numbers, it is the individuals – women, men and children – who are at the center of a widespread project capable of acting on multiple levels thanks to the close collaboration of organizations and individuals.
The mayor Patrizia Manassero closed the proceedings, reiterating the importance of the project and its precious action carried out daily in our territory. An action that, despite the great difficulties of the current times, must continue in the future.
