Bari: “Healing and growing through women’s art”, inauguration at the airport on Monday

Monday 13 May 2024 at 11.00 am, in the departures area (gate A5) of the “K. Wojtyla” in Bari, the exhibition entitled “Healing and growing through the art of women” will be inaugurated, an exhibition born from an idea by the Argentine artist Belén Basombrio, and created by the “Stefano Fumarulo” Social Anti-Mafia Foundation in collaboration with APS GIRAFFA

Seventeen women, Italian and foreign, victims of trafficking and domestic violence, who participated in the workshop which then led to the exhibition. These are the women that GIRAFFA operators have taken care of, in a journey of liberation and self-reconquest.

The inauguration will be attended by the president of the Puglia Region Michele Emiliano, Angelo Pansini and Maria Luisa Fumarulo respectively president and honorary president of the “Stefano Fumarulo” Social Anti-Mafia Foundation, the artist Belén Basombrio, the president of the GIRAFFA social promotion association Maria Pia Vigilante , the councilor for culture, legality and social anti-mafia of the Puglia Region Viviana Matrangola and the president of Airports of Puglia Antonio Maria Vasile.
