CAVARIA WITH PRICE – At the center is the PGT, with a focus on environmental protection and revitalization. But also the attention paid to citizens, their well-being and the territory in general. Topics that cause Cavaria to discuss with Premezzo. To the point that the outgoing mayor Franco Zeni (town list) he decided to reply in kind to the criticisms of Futuro Comunelist of his opponent in the local elections Ruggero Busellato.
«Discredit the work of others»
«To say that my administration does not look at people or the territory is a statement designed only to discredit the work of others» says Northern League member Zeni. “I am sure that the majority of citizens can deny Busellato, who I’m sorry has such a limited vision of his country and his municipality.” A position, he adds, caused «certainly from absenteeism in the last ten years from political life, which he is only now returning to for the election campaign.” Zeni has no doubts about his program: «It is as ambitious as it was five years ago and it will be completed: participation, people and environment are all themes implemented by this administration».

Therefore the focus on the environment, which «encloses private interest, reported to the Pgt». And for which “the data speaks”. Zeni continues: «From opinion on compatibility with Ptcp of the Pgt variant it is clear that the land consumption is less than zero, that is, compared to the 2012 document (approved when Busellato was a city councilor)”. And again: «I remember that the wild urbanization of the country began in 1999 with the adoption of the general variant of the Prg, then definitively approved in July 2003, which authorizes the concreting of all abandoned areas». Among the examples cited by the mayor there are “theformer Maino, former Quadrelli, former Sacconaghi dry cleaners still standing still for years, the former Filiberti Foundry, the area currently of the Famila with the land in front, the cross street of via Macchio and the central area of Premezzo». And which «ends in 2013, without worrying about greenery and giving information to the population: the mayor at the time was not Zeni, but two people from the list currently opposed to mine have followed one another».
«We saved territory»
With the new variant, he continues, «we saved territory, therefore safeguarded and defended the greenery. The Pgt we approved starts from a previous administration: we validated what had been done by the previous councilapart from a few minor tweaks. So, consistency.” Then the point on overbuilding: «The exponential growth of the population, according to Istat data, goes from 2004 to 2013: I was not mayor». And on the information regarding the PGT variant: «It was published on Burl in 2018 the “request for participatory contributions from the Municipality addressed to citizens”, preparatory to starting the instrument. Held open until 2022: the group in question, which accuses me of not having given the right information, has not produced any contribution, highlighting a clear disinterest. Only to then present 19 observations following its adoption. Excellent electioneering but little in the service of the country.”
The Zeni program
The program, he concludes, «it will be based on economic and above all environmental feasibility». Among the objectives, Zeni insists on «transparency, as we have always implemented in the previous mandate.” But also the «sharing, as happened in the management of the pandemic with the interaction between the various institutional actors, citizens and associations”. So, “prudence of how the budget was managed without leaving a cent of debt but a surplus approximately 250 thousand euros as a final balance for 2023». Up to “safeguard, not referring exclusively to greenery, but as a broader set referring to people, public property, private property and community life. And that also includes public coffers, continuing along the lines of interception of tenders as we have done in recent years managing to pay for more than 80% of the works with subsidies.”
