Starting from the inauguration which will take place at 12.00 on Thursday 16 May it will be possible to visit the exhibition ‘Rosa fragrans. Drawings and watercolors by Aurora Tazza’, exhibited at the Graphics Museum of Palazzo Lanfranchi.
The exhibition is part of the project ‘At the Museum and in the garden: dialogues between art and science’ conceived by the Graphics Museum and the Botanical Garden of Pisa. Through an articulated calendar of exhibitions, meetings with the artist, workshops, educational laboratories and ‘behind the scenes’ visits, a path aimed at understanding nature will be created through the dual declination of artistic expression and botanical research methodologies. A series of events scheduled in the two museum locations of the Botanical Garden and Museum – ancient Semplici Garden – and Palazzo Lanfranchi – home of the Graphics Museum (Municipality of Pisa and University of Pisa) – will feature pictorial works, illustrated books, manuscripts , botanical tables, herbarium specimens and photographs, offering a broad panorama capable of shedding light on the most varied ways of representing and interpreting the natural world.
