The fight against bullying et al cyberbullying through nine major events, one per province. Furthermore, moments of reflection, listening, creativity and sport, with top stars of music, entertainment and culture as testimonials, among theatres, squares and symbolic places of Sicilian cities.
It is the culmination, for the current school year, of “One, Nobody, 100 Giga”, the pilot inter-institutional project involving Sicilian schools. A collaboration between the Region, through the Department of Education and Vocational Training which promoted it with over 2.3 million euros, the Regional School Office for Sicily, Telefono Azzurro and over 800 schools across the entire Isola, with the field activity of the Carolina Foundation and Mabasta.
The project is the result of the 2021 regional law dedicated to “Interventions to prevent and combat the phenomena of bullying and cyberbullying in the Region”. Coordination was entrusted to a control room that developed the guidelines. The activities will take place throughout 2024 and will be developed by nine territorial support centres, i.e. one school for each province with consolidated experience in inclusion and new technologies. Each center has organized a certain number of provincial hubs, each made up of approximately 16 institutes, to disseminate the actions of the project in a widespread manner which sees the participation of 802 state educational institutions of the first and second cycle of education in total. The Galileo Galilei scientific high school in Palermo, as leader of the regional network, also has the task of coordinating the listening platform entrusted to the Telefono Azzurro Ets Onlus Foundation, which was activated at the beginning of April.
