Trani, Il Giovane Favolosa, journey into a new oil

A community of operators engaged in the production, marketing and valorisation of the “Favolosa” variety of extra virgin olive oil, the cultivar that has had and has a large part in the rebirth of entire parts of the olive-growing Salento, attacked by xylella. Getting to know this cultivar up close is the objective of the two days, today 9 May and Friday 10 in Trani, at Palazzo Filisio (in Piazza Duomo), promoted by the Consorzio Oliveti d’Italia and Assoproli Bari and sponsored by the Puglia Region and the Municipality of Trani. Among the initiatives to spread awareness of this cultivar there is also the “IL GIOVANE FAVOLOSA – GIUSEPPE FONTANAZZA” AWARD which, from next year, will be reserved for young people who have distinguished themselves for Research, Projects and/or Activities of particular relevance for the improvement and innovation in the olive sector.
