Double appointment with «La Lettura». On Saturday 11 May, a preview on the App and on Sunday 12 on newsstands, in addition to the new issue of the supplement, #650, there will also be “Girls’ and Boys’ Reading”, the insert dedicated to junior readers and their teachers, educators, parents, grandparents and all those who accompany them in discovering the world of books (and beyond). In the newsletter, arriving on Friday 10th via email, Antonio Carioti anticipates some of the themes that, fifty years after the massacre in Piazza della Loggia, open «Reading» #650; Giulia Ziino, on the other hand, presents the new issue of «Letturina». As a literary preview, the newsletter offers the incipit of the book «The garden against time» coming out from Il Saggiatore: the author, the English writer Olivia Laing, on «La Lettura» #650 is compared with Paolo Giordano.
The «la Lettura» newsletter arrives via email every Friday to those who sign up here and to subscribers to the insert’s App and also offers advice from the editorial staff on what to read, watch and listen to. The App, for smartphones and tablets, offers the most recent issue of the insert as a preview already on Saturdays and the archive of all the releases since 2011. In addition, a digital-only daily extra, the Topic of the Day: Friday’s May 10th is a text that the Bosnian writer and editor Damir Ovcina (Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, today Bosnia-Herzegovina, 1973), finalist of the 2024 Terzani Prize with «Prayer in the siege» (Keller, pp. 704, euro 22) wrote specifically for «la Lettura», which offers it in the translation of Enrico Varesco.
