Angelina Mango at Eurovision: who is the winner of Sanremo, age, parents, career

Representing Italy atEurovision Song Contest 2024 this year it is the twenty-three-year-old singer-songwriter Angelina Mango who, after having conquered the Sanremo Festival last February, she is now ready to make the Swedish one her own Malmo Arena in Malmo, which has been hosting the sixty-eighth edition of the singing event since Tuesday 7 May. A music that we can certainly say that the singer-songwriter has in her DNA: born in Macerata in 2001 to two great names in Italian discography such as Laura Valente And Pine Mangobottles and sheet music were immediately his formative diet, although his first steps were taken in dance. With a legacy like that of the Mango surnamehowever, in the end singing prevailed over the rest and, after having collaborated with his father in various projects (the videos of Angelina thirteen year old on stage alongside his father), in 2020 he officially debuted in the musical world with the EP Studio flatcomposed during the lockdown.

In 2022, however, his first real appearance on the stage at the Concertone del Primo Maggio together with his brother Filippo. I prepare for what I will do on stage – she confessed to TV smiles and songs talking about her preparation for the contest – with me there will be five dancers, kind girls but with strong personalities, choreographed by Mecnun Giasar (German artist who worked, among others, with Madonna, Rosalia it’s the same Loreen last year’s winner), a genius. I presented myself as a blank sheet of paper, all the fears you have can be removed by working. It’s like exams, the more you prepare, the more relaxed you are. Mentally I am instead accumulating as much love as possible, as many ‘feet on the ground’ as possible. I will be far from home, I risk being distracted by such a giant world.”
