In recent days, the State Police Agents on duty at the Polfer Compartment of Reggio Calabria intervened, at the request of the volunteers of the Caritas Help Center, located near the Central Stationfor a heated argument involving two subjects, presumably while waiting for the distribution of meals.
The police, who immediately arrived on site, noted the presence of an elderly person who reported having suffered the theft of money by a non-EU citizen.. The man was identified and subjected to a personal search. The thirty-seven year old of Moroccan origins, illegal on the national territory, with numerous judicial and police records, was found in possession of the money that he had cleverly attempted to hide inside his underwear.
The arrested man was awaiting trial for other crimes committed in the national territorywas released on bail for the crime of aggravated theft and the sum of money was returned to the owner.
