Request from the Serie C sports judge for Crotone players

The sports judge of the Lega Pro, Cosimo Taiuti, asked the Federal Prosecutor’s Office to clarify the action of the Crotone players who, after the defeat in Picerno, which cost them elimination from the Serie C play-offs, at the invitation of the fans remove the shirts.

At the end of the match, the Crotone players went towards the away sector of the Picerno stadium where the fans asked them to take off their shirts as they were “not worthy of wearing them”, criticizing them for yet another bad performance of the season.

According to the sports judge “the facts described in the report of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office appear worthy of further investigative investigations in relation to the behavior of the supporters of the Crotone club as well as by the Slo (the head of the fans appointed by the clubs, ed.) and by the players of the same club” .

For this reason the judge “invites the Federal Prosecutor’s Office to carry out further investigative investigations by listening to the Slo of the Crotone club and, after identifying them, the players who took off their shirts.

It also invites the Federal Prosecutor’s Office to carry out all further and possible investigations useful for the precise reconstruction of the facts”.
