The demonstration Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition 2024 has reached its 12th edition and also this year, the great European fair dedicated to innovation, creativity and know-how, will be present in Rome, from 25 to 27 October 2024, and will dedicate a space to projects innovative projects created by schools and students.

The event – promoted and organized by the Rome Chamber of Commerce – will address all of them the key components of innovation: from digital manufacturing to the Internet of Things, from robotics to artificial intelligence, from the circular economy to agritech, from digital manufacturing to e-sports via big data and aerospace, up to the latest discoveries of the metaverse and of augmented reality. Thanks to dedicated calls, companies, startups, research institutions, schools, universities and innovators. Specifically, the “Call for Schools 2024 https://makerfairerome.eu/it/callfor-schools/ promotes innovation among schools, through the diffusion of culture digital and the development of individual and collective entrepreneurship, rewarding the most considered projects deserving.

Schools that wish to submit their application will be able to participate in the Call for Schools dedicated to secondary schools no later than 3 June 2024 11.59pm CEST, through the promotion of innovative and original projects born on the benches of school, by filling out the following form: https://makers.makerfairerome.eu/ita/login?from=%2Fita

Specifically, the “Call for Schools 2024” https://makerfairerome.eu/it/call-for-schools/ promotes innovation among schools, through the dissemination of digital culture and
development of individual and collective entrepreneurship, rewarding the projects deemed most worthy.

Participation in the Call for Schools 2024 is free and aimed at all secondary schools national second level and similar educational institutions belonging to European Union countries (students 14-18 years old).

For every single non-Roman Institute that participates in person, a post-payment refund will be provided event, a part of the travel and accommodation costs to participate in the event. The amount
maximum all-inclusive refundable amount is €950.00 – nine hundred and fifty/00 euros per Institute and will be paid only against suitable supporting documentation as specified in Regulations https://makerfairerome.eu/it/regolamento-call-for-schools/.

For schools selected through the Call for Schools, participation in the Event is recognized as a valid activity for the courses for transversal skills and for orientation (PCTO).

The selected projects will be known by the general public, newspapers, radio and television national and international.

As in past years, a jury of experts will select the most innovative projects born on school desks allowing schools to participate in MFR2024 with a space free exhibition, at the Gazometro Ostiense in Via del Commercio 9/11.

Given this, we ask the SS.LL. of wanting to raise awareness in the educational institutions of territory to participate, given the importance of the event which constitutes an opportunity for children meeting, discussion, training and interaction.
