Tour of Italy. 7th stage time trial Foligno – Perugia
Foligno is approaching the seventh stage of the Giro d’Italia, the Foligno-Perugia time trial, scheduled for tomorrow, Friday 10 May. These are the main measures affecting traffic: Small and large Plateatico car park – Bus station TRANSIT BAN from 5pm on 9th May to 9pm on 10th May; Piazzale Atleti and Piazzale N. Gubbini TRANSIT BAN from 7am to 6pm on 10 May; Piazza San Domenico TRANSIT BAN from 8am to 4pm on May 10th; Via Monte Cucco TRANSIT BAN from 7am to 6pm on May 10th; Via Fratelli Bandiera TRANSIT BAN from 6am to 7pm on May 10th;
Race route: Via Fratelli Bandiera BUS STATION → Via XVI Giugno →P.le Firenze →Viale Firenze I section → Madonna Fiamenga roundabout → Viale Firenze II section Road closure by prefectural order from 8am to the end of the last cyclist crossing (forecast 4.30pm); FIRST RUNNER DEPARTURE SCHEDULED AT 1PM LAST RUNNER DEPARTURE SCHEDULED AT 4.22 PM – SS 75 EXIT EXIT FOLIGNO NORTH CLOSED – SS 3 FLAMINIA EXIT EXIT FOLIGNO EST OPEN – SS 3 FLAMINIA EXIT EXIT S.ERACLIO OPEN ACCESS TO THE HISTORICAL CENTER PROHIBITED S OLO DA PORT TODI during the rest period of the advertising caravan in Piazza San Domenico (the advertising caravan will make 2 departures from Piazza San Domenico, the first at approximately 11.30 am, the second around 4.00 pm). Access to the historic center of Porta Ancona – Via Gentile da Foligno – P.le Firenze will be open. We remind you of the collateral initiatives scheduled for Friday 10 May. From 9am – Giro d’Italia departure area – Plateatico car park – “Fantasy Bicycle” exhibition of the “bicycle” float created by the volunteers of the Carnival of Sant’Eraclio in collaboration with the Comunanza Agraria of Sant’Eraclio; “Flag and drum games”, performance by young people from the Ente Giostra Quintanella of Scafali; “Flag-wavers in pink”, exhibition organized by the Aps Flag-wavers and Musicians of the City of Foligno; 10.30 am – Departure from Piazza della Repubblica “Avanti Tutti!”, itinerary for cyclists and tricyclists through the streets of the historic center organized by Ormesa Srl, Asd Unione Ciclistica Foligno and Asd Unione Ciclistica Foligno Start; from 11am – Giro d’Italia departure area, small Plateatico car park.
“The Tour of Excellences”, tastings and hospitality village organized by the GAL Valle Umbra Sibillini; from around 12.00 – departure area of the Giro d’Italia “Foligno city of Quintana”, characters in baroque clothes Giostra della Quintana of Foligno; from 8.30pm – Court of Palazzo Trinci, “Pink Evening” final event organized by the Association of Historic Villages and Centers in collaboration with Luigi Metelli Spa.
