Carabinieri and associations ready to compete in a sports tournament in Trani

This morning at the Provincial Headquarters of the Carabinieri the press conference was held where the “Carabinieri Sport and Health” event was presented for the first time. “It will be the first time you will see me in sports clothes and not with my police uniform, it will be a way to let people know that the policeman is not just the one who arrests and takes bad guys to prison…” This is how the presentation of the project began. the event was held by the Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri Colonel Massimiliano Galasso.

The event will start at 4.30 pm on May 18th until approximately 7.00 pm and will continue on Sunday 19th May from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm, everything will take place inside the Campo Sportivo Ponte Lama site. in Trani in Contrada dei Monaci n. 4/6.

Various tournaments organized by the participating sports associations are planned: five-a-side football and padel organized by PONTELAMA, volleyball organized by ACCADEMIA DELLO SPORT and basketball organized by FORTITUDO TRANI. In addition there will be various demonstrations by the TIMEOUT Associations, JUDO-FIGHTING TRANI, DOG UNIT FROM SICS – ITALIAN SCHOOL OF RESCUE DOGS, HORSE RIDING TEAM LA FRANCESCA, ARCIERI DEL SUD BARLETTA, IRC COMMUNITÀ, ITALIAN SWIMMING FEDERATION and TOMMASO ASSI TRIATHLON TEAM TRANI .

To welcome the participants and assist the military organizers of the event there will be members of the WORK-AUT association with whom they have already participated in various events in the past together with friends of the Army.

In fact, there will be no shortage of surprises, in addition to the display of cars and motorbikes with institutional colors and stands where children can try their hand at coloring Carabinieri albums, during Sunday morning the helicopter of the 6th Carabinieri Helicopter Unit is scheduled to land with a personal board of the Carabinieri Cacciatori Puglia Helicopter Squadron.
