Upon delegation of the Public Prosecutor, we inform you that personnel of the Carabinieri Tenenza of Ercolano, on the morning of 9.5.2024, carried out a precautionary custody order in prison issued by the GIP of the Naples Court at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, against the convicted GS , aged 34, and ME, aged 26, residents of Ercolano and currently detained for another reason, because they are seriously suspected respectively of the crimes referred to in articles. 624 and 625 of the criminal code, and of the crime pursuant to art. 648 cp
The investigations conducted by the Carabinieri Tenenza of Ercolano, relating to a theft committed on 19.2.2024 in the Giampaglia-Iaccarino school in Ercolano, made it possible to acquire serious indications of guilt against GS who, despite being under house arrest at his home for another reason, after having entered the school at night, after breaking into some access doors, he was responsible for the theft of several PCs and other IT tools; serious indications of guilt were also acquired against ME, who was held responsible for the crime of receiving stolen goods from one of the said PCs.
The Carabinieri of Ercolano, immediately after the events, had recovered a large part of the stolen goods found at the homes of the two suspects, returning them to the director of the school.
The precautionary measure was issued against GS also in relation to another crime hypothesis pursuant to art. 624 and 625 of the Criminal Code, since the investigations by the Herculaneum Carabinieri made it possible to acquire serious indications of guilt against the accused who, despite being under house arrest at his home for another reason, was responsible, on 22.2.2024 , of the theft of the sum of 550 euros and various material from a gym in Herculaneum.
The measure carried out is a precautionary measure, ordered during preliminary investigations, against which appeals are permitted, and the recipients of the same are people subjected to investigations and therefore presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.
