The Carabinieri of the Tenenza of Ercolano, as part of an operation aimed at combating crimes against property, have carried out a precautionary custody order in prison against two people already detained for other reasons.
The two suspects, 34 year old GS and 26 year old ME, both residents of Ercolano, are seriously accused of aggravated theft and receiving stolen goods.
The investigations, conducted by the Carabinieri, shed light on a theft that occurred on 19 February 2024 at the “Giampaglia-Iaccarino” school in Ercolano. GS, despite being under house arrest for another reason, entered the school at night after forcing some access doors. Once inside, he stole several PCs and other IT tools.
The investigations also made it possible to ascertain that ME was responsible for the crime of receiving one of the PCs stolen from GS
The recovery of the stolen goods
The Carabinieri of Ercolano, already in the immediate aftermath of the theft, had managed to recover a large part of the stolen property by finding it at the homes of the two suspects. The stolen goods were then returned to the director of the school.

The precautionary custody order issued against GS also concerns another crime episode. The Carabinieri’s investigations have in fact made it possible to ascertain that GS, while still under house arrest for another reason, had stolen the sum of 550 euros and other miscellaneous material from a gym in Herculaneum on 22 February 2024.
In light of the serious conduct that emerged from the investigations, the investigating judge of the Court of Naples, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, issued a precautionary custody order in prison against GS and ME
