TERNI – It will take place tomorrow, Friday 10 May at 3 pm, at the literary café of the municipal library of Terni, the XVII conference on Faith and Science “Lto sweetness of peace Assisi in the wind”. Among the various topics, it is worth underlining a contribution that is not ‘geopolitical’ but ‘motivational’ given that the conference is inspired by the words of Saint Bernardino of Siena to whom the first modern treatise on the economy is attributed, a collection of his homilies against the phenomenon of usury which was very rampant in Europe at the beginning of the 1400s. A saint who even in his death managed with a miracle to pacify a feud between families of L’Aquila, does not intend to offer theoretical contributions to the numerous and complex geopolitical issues, unfortunately very fashionable, but to look for ideas and motivations from history, theology and mysticism to ‘hope against all hope’ to believe, hope and act, in ‘peace’ between men and women of His good pleasure.
