Another day of checks at Nicolosi in Latina: dangerous European fugitive found

Late yesterday afternoon, Latina law enforcement agencies implemented a large-scale joint operation to increase security and limit criminal activities in the capital. Involving both the State Police Flying Squad and the Lazio Crime Prevention Department, the action focused on the urban areas most at risk, in particular the “Nicolosi” neighborhood and the area surrounding the bus lines.

Significant Arrests and Results of the Operation

During the operation, extensive checks were carried out which led to the identification of 147 people, including 15 with criminal records, and the verification of 100 vehicles. One of the key events was the arrest of a Romanian citizen who had a European arrest warrant for serious crimes. The man, together with another passenger, was traveling in a car that was later identified as the subject of an embezzlement complaint in Milan.

Implications and Future of Security Activities

This joint operation also made it possible to ensure the regularity of foreigners’ stays in the territory, with all seven foreigners checked found to be in order. The intensification of controls reflects the authorities’ ongoing commitment to maintaining public order and ensuring the safety of citizens, indicating that similar initiatives will be repeated to maintain a high level of vigilance.
