The initiative, carried out in collaboration with FIMMG, will be preceded on Saturday 11 May by an Open Day of Obstetrics and Gynecology aimed at all women which will be held at the Aprilia facility. During the morning, in addition to the possibility of visiting the nursery, the delivery room and the hospital rooms, various activities are planned: from baby massage to postural gymnastics, from belly mapping to rehabilitation of the pelvic floor . The morning will end with a light lunch.

To join the cervical cancer prevention campaign, all you need to do is book free of charge by email ( [email protected] – [email protected]) or at the following telephone numbers 06 92704125 (City of Aprilia Hospital) – 06 93298137 (Regina Apostolorum Hospital) and choose one of the slots available on Monday, Thursday and Saturday from 9 to 12. Once the booking has been made, on the day of the appointment the patient will have to go to the CUP for acceptance and at the same time she will be notified of the day and time for collecting the report. In the event of an altered pap test, the patient will be contacted to take advantage of a free gynecological consultation.

Performing the Pap test as a prevention tool is absolutely recommended for all women aged between 25 and 64 – says Gabriele Coppa, general director of the two hospital structures in Albano Laziale and Aprilia – Thanks to this campaign, we offer our patients the possibility of keeping a dangerous and malignant tumor like uterine cancer under control.”

The importance of prevention programs – declares Giovanni Testa, Director of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Facility at the City of Aprilia Hospital – is demonstrated by the fact that thanks to the various screening and awareness campaigns over the last 20 years mortality from uterine (body and neck) cancer has decreased by over 50%, especially regarding cervical cancer”.

Initiatives like these aimed at promoting health also through the prevention they conclude Guido Fabbri responsible for FIMMG ASL Roma 6 and Antonio Nigro responsible for the FIMMG Study Centre are of absolute importance and we can only enthusiastically share what the Regina Apostolorum Hospital and the Città di Aprilia Hospital do for the citizens of the area”
