The Council of the Puglia Region has approved the change in the 2024 and Multi-year Budget 2024-2027, useful for the creation of an expenditure chapter to ensure regional co-financing of the Puglia CSR 2023/2027, the Rural Development Complement of the National Strategic Plan of the CAP, the common agricultural policy. The sum set aside is equal to 15 million euros, necessary to guarantee payments for the 2024 year in favor of the beneficiaries of the public notices activated on the interventions envisaged by the Puglia CSR 2023/2027.
“This allocation of 15 million euros – recalls the Councilor for Agriculture of the Puglia Region – will serve to guarantee the financial provision to be transferred to Agea, the Agency for Agricultural Payments which is the paying body for the requests for support processed by the Section Implementation of Community Programs for Agriculture in the Puglia Region. This act is to protect farmers and companies benefiting from the interventions of the Rural Development Complement of the Puglia Region”.
The allocation of 15 million euros represents, specifically, the financial coverage of the regional co-financing share of the Puglia CSR 2023/2027, in relation to the estimate of payments in favor of the beneficiaries for the year 2024, quantified in accordance with the provisions of the article 21 of the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/128 of 21 December 2021.
