Treviso, work begins on the Via Sarpi underpass: road closed for more than 5 months | Today Treviso | News

TREVISO – Renovation work on the railway underpass in Via Sarpi in Treviso will begin on Monday 13 May. The works will consist of the complete demolition of the road pavement and the “bare” laying of the concrete conglomerate structures in order to waterproof the walls and slabs of the underpass ramps. At the end of the works, the road surface and signs will be restored. The overall duration of the contract works is estimated at 165 days and during this period both vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be prohibited.

“The closure of the underpass will inevitably cause some inconvenience – the words of the councilor for public works Sandro Zampese -. In any case, every measure and every useful method will be adopted to reduce times, limit noise and warn motorists of the presence of the construction site with appropriate vertical signs”. The construction site area will be limited to the underpass ramps, thus guaranteeing accessibility to front-enders and residents of Via Sarpi who come from the East.
