IEG announces Fimast: hosiery, seamless and sports systems meet in November in Vicenza

(Teleborsa) – Connecting the textile industry districts of Brescia and Mantua with the Venetian excellences of the sports system, footwear and textile machinery. With this objective he starts again from Vicenza FIMAST, the B2B event dedicated to technological innovations in the hosiery and stocking supply chains, 3D footwear, seamless and technical and sports clothing. The 2024 edition, organized by Italian Exhibition Group, will bring together the major Italian players in the sector for the first time at the Vicenza Fair from 6 to 8 November. With a further novelty: thanks to the synergy with A&T Northeast, which will be held simultaneously in the Vicenza exhibition pavilions, FIMAST will turn the spotlight on the most innovative technologies for manufacturing, from artificial intelligence to smart manufacturing, from testing to intralogistics.

“With the strategic choice of the new location, IEG wants to offer new opportunities to the main players in the sector, traditionally located between Brescia and Mantua, to come into contact with advanced markets and the manufacturing excellence of the Veneto, from the sports system to footwear, for which supply and demand can converge – he declares Matteo Pollini, exhibition manager of FIMAST for Italian Exhibition Group –. Supporting the event with A&T and the world of 4.0 and 5.0 technologies also means facilitating moments of exchange and knowledge for companies that want to innovate to better compete. This is a decisive push by IEG towards an evolution of the event, which we have had in our portfolio since 2021 and which we aim to grow between now and the next few years. The synergy between FIMAST and A&T is configured as a real system project with which we intend to generate new business opportunities for companies and manufacturing districts in the reference territories”.

FIMAST will therefore be an international showcase for new textile technologies and a bridge between the most innovative supply chains. It will also offer opportunities for discussion and professional updating for operators, thanks to an Arena in which conferences, workshops, seminars and events designed to inspire, look to the future and face the challenges of a constantly evolving market will take place. All thanks to the partnership with reference associations in the sector such as ADICI (Socks and Underwear District Association) And Assosport, national association that brings together sporting goods manufacturers.

“We are proud to have been involved in an event of the magnitude of FIMAST. Assosport has always, by definition, been concerned with establishing connections, an increasingly strategic activity especially in a market context like the current one, profoundly complex and changing in which collaboration plays a crucial role – he declares Anna Ferrino, president of Assosport –. Sport in Italy, thanks above all to the excellence of its districts, now represents a fundamental asset for the evolution of the country and the promotion of Made In Italy in the world, so much so that it has recently deserved inclusion in the Constitutional Order. We can therefore only endorse an event like FIMAST in which ideas and synergies are facilitated, aware that the driver of innovation will be the key that will allow us to design comforting and fully satisfactory future scenarios for the entire supply chain”.

“Fimast represents an important event, therefore a now consolidated custom for our district and its companies – he comments Alessandro Gallesi, president of Adici –. Fimast has always been an opportunity to see the latest mechanical innovations in textiles and yarns, and mechanical innovation and new yarns have always been the basis of our products, whether hosiery or technical sports underwear. With the new format and the new location in Vicenza we will have the opportunity to broaden the horizon in terms of innovation, products and possible collaborations and operational and commercial synergies. We will experience the event with renewed energy to fully grasp all the opportunities that will be proposed and can materialize.”

FIMAST: the exhibition offer – The event has always brought together two of the key districts of the Italian textile industry: the one in Brescia, centered on textile machinery with the production of machinery, components and accessories, and the one in Mantua, linked to the production of yarns and hosiery factories. The protagonists of the production districts for yarns, production machinery, technologies and finished products will be showcased: from the latest news from the world of synthetic and natural yarns for the production of stockings and tights, to the main manufacturers of machinery for hosiery, hosiery and shoe factories, as well as complementary technologies for product design, finishes and accessories, up to bagging and packaging. FIMAST is not only a point of reference for hosiery, but also for the world of accessories and sports and technical clothing, capable of attracting designers and product managers from the world of 3D footwear, sportswear and technical hosiery. The 2021 edition, hosted in the Brescia exhibition centre, saw the participation of a qualified audience of visitors from all over Italy and, for a percentage of 20%, also from abroad, representing 28 countries.
