A clear victory in the regional semi-final, played on the morning of Sunday 5 May at the Palazzetto di Via Fea in Chieri by the Lab Travel Cuneo Rossa Under 17 team against their peers from Novi Ligure, thanks to which the Cuneo team advanced to the final in 1st-2nd place in the afternoon.
In the Final the clash was against Volley Parella Torino, retracing the fate of last year. Unlike last season, the Cuneo team managed to take a set away from the Turin team, who however confirmed the U17 Regional Title and will access the National Qualifiers.
An important silver for coach Barbiero’s team which is also competing in the Serie D Play Offs as a team far below average in terms of age and experience. The awards ceremony was held at the PalaFenera in Chieri at the end of the two Finals (male and female) which awarded the U17 male Regional Title to Volley Parella Torino and the U16 female Regional Title to Club76 Playasti. The blue and whites received the silver medal, the cup and the t-shirts from Fipav Piemonte.
